Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats, perfect for a quick breakfast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1 medium apple, diced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, diced apple, ground cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed.
- If using, fold in the chopped walnuts and raisins for added texture and flavor.
- Divide the mixture evenly into four jars or containers with lids.
- Cover the jars and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours, to allow the oats to soak and soften.
- In the morning, give the oats a good stir. You can add a splash of milk if you prefer a thinner consistency. Enjoy cold or warm them in the microwave for about 30 seconds if desired.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, try adding a dollop of Greek yogurt on top before serving.
- Experiment with different fruits such as bananas, berries, or peaches to customize the flavor profile to your liking.
