- 2 medium beets, peeled and chopped
- 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
- 1 apple, cored and chopped
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the chopped beets, carrots, apple, ginger, and lemon juice.
- Add the cold water to the blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
- Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer to separate the juice from the pulp.
- Use a spatula or spoon to press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
- Discard the pulp or save it for another use, such as adding to smoothies or baking.
- Serve the juice over ice if desired, and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and nutrients.
Notes
- For a sweeter juice, add an extra apple or a splash of honey.
- To enhance the flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a few mint leaves before blending.
