Description
Cheeseburger Pockets are delicious snacks filled with a savory ground beef mixture and cheese, wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, and mustard. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the cheeseburger mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, sealing the edges to create a pocket.
- Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, and try different cheeses like pepper jack or mozzarella for variety.
