Description

Crab Bombs are delicious seafood balls made with lump crab meat, cream cheese, and a blend of seasonings, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the lump crab meat and green onions, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
  4. In a separate small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, and lemon juice until combined.
  5. Using your hands, form the crab mixture into small balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Top each crab ball with a spoonful of the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it gently to adhere.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the crab bombs are heated through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of hot sauce to the crab mixture.
  • Substitute the crab meat with shrimp or lobster for a different seafood flavor.
