Description
Crispy Air Fryer Baked Potatoes are perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and fluffy interior, making them a delicious side dish or base for your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry with a towel.
- Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, and optional garlic and onion powders for added flavor.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through, until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the flesh.
- Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For an extra crispy skin, you can increase the cooking time by 5-10 minutes.
- If you prefer a loaded baked potato, top with your favorite toppings like sour cream, cheese, chives, or bacon bits.
- You can also experiment with different seasonings, such as smoked paprika or Italian herbs, to customize the flavor.
