Description
Grilled Honey BBQ Bacon Chicken Kabobs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a sweet and tangy barbecue marinade.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 slices of bacon, cut into thirds
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before use)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken and pieces of bacon onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and bacon.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Brush additional barbecue sauce on the kabobs during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- You can also substitute the chicken with shrimp or vegetables for a different variation.
- Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
