Description

Grilled Honey BBQ Bacon Chicken Kabobs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a sweet and tangy barbecue marinade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 slices of bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before use)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken and pieces of bacon onto the skewers, alternating between chicken and bacon.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Brush additional barbecue sauce on the kabobs during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • You can also substitute the chicken with shrimp or vegetables for a different variation.
  • Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
