Description
A flavorful and healthy oven-baked salmon recipe infused with lemon and herbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Brush the lemon herb mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in the lemon herb mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
- You can substitute the salmon with other fish like trout or tilapia for a different taste.
- If you prefer a crispy top, broil the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
