Description

Delicious Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken Burgers that combine the sweetness of pineapple with savory chicken and teriyaki sauce for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Sliced tomatoes, for serving
  • Sliced red onion, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, green onions, teriyaki sauce, crushed pineapple, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or a little oil.
  4. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on each bun, then top with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the chicken patties in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Substitute ground turkey or beef for the chicken for a different taste.
  • You can also add cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking for a cheesy twist.
