- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Cooked rice or pasta, for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice or pasta.
Notes
- For a creamier sauce, add 1/4 cup heavy cream after cooking the shrimp and stir until combined.
- Substitute the shrimp with scallops or chicken for a different protein option.
