Description

A delicious and spicy dish featuring ground chicken and broccoli, coated in a sweet and tangy honey sriracha sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Pour this sauce over the chicken and broccoli mixture, stirring well to combine.
  5. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the chicken and broccoli.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice or quinoa.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of sriracha or add red pepper flakes to taste.
  • Substitute ground turkey or beef for the ground chicken for a different flavor profile.
  • You can also add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for extra nutrition.
