Description

A delicious and easy recipe for Maple Dijon Brussels Sprouts that combines sweet and savory flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the maple Dijon mixture.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  6. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans and dried cranberries over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, try adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese during the last few minutes of roasting.
  • You can substitute honey for maple syrup if desired, or use balsamic glaze for a different flavor profile.
