Ingredients
  

For the Meat Filling
  • 1 lb ground meat (grass-fed beef, lamb, turkey, or chicken) Opt for grass-fed for rich flavor.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • optional vegetables (peas, corn, mushrooms, spinach, parsnips) Add according to preference.
For the Sweet Potato Topping
  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes Drain thoroughly after boiling.
  • 2 tbsp ghee or coconut oil Use ghee for buttery flavor.
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk Add gradually for desired consistency.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In your preheated skillet over medium heat, add the ground meat. Cook for about 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
  3. Stir in optional vegetables with salt and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Boil a pot of water and add chopped sweet potatoes. Cook for about 15 minutes, until fork-tender. Drain well.
  5. Mash the drained sweet potatoes and mix in ghee or coconut oil and coconut milk.
  6. Spread the meat filling in the skillet, then dollop the sweet potato mash on top and smooth it out.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes.
  8. Let the pie rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
