  • 1 cup Oat Milk You can substitute with dairy milk or your favorite nut milk.
  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds Adds nutrition and thickens the mixture.
For the Flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Can substitute with coconut sugar or maple syrup.
  • 1 tablespoon Espresso Powder Instant coffee can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Optional; can be replaced with nutmeg.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a clean jar or mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of espresso powder, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Stir until well blended.
  2. Pour in 1 cup of oat milk into the jar with the dry ingredients. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, until the brown sugar dissolves.
  3. Add 1 cup of old fashioned oats and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. Replace the lid and shake for another 30 seconds.
  4. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, ideally overnight. The oats will absorb the liquid.
  5. Before serving, stir the mixture and add more brown sugar and cinnamon if desired.
