Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients for Coconut Crusted French Toast, including thick-cut bread, shredded coconut, eggs, milk, and spices.
  2. Preheat your skillet over medium heat while you set up your workspace.
  3. Slice the thick-cut bread into 1-inch pieces.
  4. In a shallow dish, combine shredded coconut, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Melt a tablespoon of butter in your preheated skillet.
  7. Take a slice of bread and dip it into the egg custard mixture.
  8. Once dipped, immediately press the bread slice into the coconut mixture.
