  • 1 kg Fresh Crab Use fleshy crabs like mud or sea crab.
  • 5 pieces Green Chillies Add heat; substitute with paprika for milder version.
For the Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Butter Margarine can be a non-dairy substitute.
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste Feel free to adjust according to taste.
  • 10 pieces Garlic Pods Chopped and blended.
  • 200 ml Fresh Cream Non-dairy alternatives may be used.
  • 2 cups Chicken Stock Vegetable stock or water can be substitutes.
For the Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper Powder Adjust to personal spice preference.
  • 1.5 tsp Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder Optional but recommended.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Optional for flavor enhancement.
  • 2 tsp Dried Parsley Optional but enhances flavor.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Clean the crab under cold running water. Remove debris, bring a large pot of water to boil, add turmeric and salt, then boil crabs for 3-4 minutes. Remove and let cool.
  2. Chop half of the garlic pods and blend the remaining into a paste.
  3. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add chopped garlic and garlic paste, stirring for about 2 minutes until golden.
  4. Stir in black pepper, salt, dried parsley, and garlic powder, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. Add the boiled crab pieces and green chilies to the skillet, gently tossing to coat in the mixture.
  6. Pour in the fresh cream and chicken stock, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  7. After 15 minutes, uncover and taste the sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed, and sprinkle with parsley.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside garlic bread or rice.
