Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry with a towel.
  3. Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  4. Rub the potatoes with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, and optional garlic and onion powders for added flavor.
  5. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through, until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the flesh.
  6. Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
