Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by ensuring your chilled cooked rice is fluffy and separated.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the two large eggs together until well blended.
  3. Add in the grated Parmesan and shredded cheese, along with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Mix these ingredients into your prepared rice.
  5. Sprinkle in the flour, ensuring even distribution as you combine everything into a cohesive mixture.
  6. With clean hands, gently combine the rice mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  7. Using lightly dampened hands, scoop the mixture and shape it into uniform patties about ½-inch thick.
  8. In a large skillet, pour in about 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable or canola oil over medium heat.
  9. Carefully place the patties in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  10. Let them cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, watching for a golden brown color to form.
  11. Gently flip each patty to the other side once the first side reaches a beautiful golden hue.
  12. Once cooked, carefully remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels.
  13. Serve warm, perhaps alongside your favorite dipping sauce.
