Step-by-Step Instructions for Spinach Artichoke Pizza
  1. Prepare your pizza dough according to the package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe. If using store-bought dough, roll it into a 14-inch circle.
  2. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Prepare a pizza pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium-low heat. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. Whisk in all-purpose flour, cooking briefly. Gradually add whole milk and half-and-half, then season with salt, black pepper, and paprika, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  5. Mix in cream cheese and grated Parmesan cheese into the thickened sauce until melted.
  6. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the pizza pan, brush with olive oil, and dock the crust. Bake for 5-7 minutes until slightly golden.
  7. Spread the creamy sauce over the crust. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella over it, then add chopped grilled chicken (if using), spinach, and artichokes. Top with remaining mozzarella.
  8. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 7-10 minutes until the crust is golden-brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Allow the pizza to cool for about 5 minutes and garnish with shaved Parmesan cheese before slicing.
