Step-by-Step Instructions for Spinach Artichoke Pizza
- Prepare your pizza dough according to the package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe. If using store-bought dough, roll it into a 14-inch circle.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Prepare a pizza pan lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium-low heat. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Whisk in all-purpose flour, cooking briefly. Gradually add whole milk and half-and-half, then season with salt, black pepper, and paprika, cooking until the sauce thickens.
- Mix in cream cheese and grated Parmesan cheese into the thickened sauce until melted.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to the pizza pan, brush with olive oil, and dock the crust. Bake for 5-7 minutes until slightly golden.
- Spread the creamy sauce over the crust. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella over it, then add chopped grilled chicken (if using), spinach, and artichokes. Top with remaining mozzarella.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 7-10 minutes until the crust is golden-brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Allow the pizza to cool for about 5 minutes and garnish with shaved Parmesan cheese before slicing.
