Step-by-Step Instructions for Garbage Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease and season.
  3. Roll out your French bread dough into a large rectangle, about 12x18 inches.
  4. Spread a layer of ketchup and mustard on the dough, leaving an inch border around the edges.
  5. Layer the cooked beef mixture, crispy bacon, chopped pickles, and American cheese evenly over the condiments.
  6. Roll the dough tightly around the filling, sealing edges, and pinch the seam.
