  • 1 small Onion chopped; shallots or green onions can be used
  • 1 large Egg can substitute with flaxseed meal mixed with water
  • 1/4 cup Milk any kind of milk or dairy alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil or Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup or barbecue sauce for topping
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for greasing the pan

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, garlic, and onion. Add the egg, milk, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Mix until just combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread ketchup over the top for a sweet glaze.
  5. Bake for 55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
