Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by carefully removing the silken tofu from its packaging. Drain any excess water by gently pressing on it. Chill in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, peanut butter, lime juice, sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, and a splash of water. Whisk until smooth.
  3. If serving with noodles, bring a pot of water to boil, add noodles, and cook for 3-5 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  4. Slice chilled tofu into bite-sized pieces and place on a serving platter. Pour sauce over the top, coating the tofu. Garnish with fried shallots and herbs.
  5. If using noodles, place them in bowls, drizzling with remaining sauce. Toss gently and serve alongside the tofu.
