Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round on a floured surface, about 1/4 inch thick, and transfer it to parchment paper.
  3. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  5. Layer the pepperoni slices and dollop ricotta cheese across the top.
  6. Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 8–12 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle hot honey over the pizza right after it comes out of the oven, and top with fresh basil and red pepper flakes.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
