Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round on a floured surface, about 1/4 inch thick, and transfer it to parchment paper.
- Spread tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border for the crust.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Layer the pepperoni slices and dollop ricotta cheese across the top.
- Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 8–12 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle hot honey over the pizza right after it comes out of the oven, and top with fresh basil and red pepper flakes.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
