  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar Can substitute with apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil Toasted preferred
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 pinch Chili Pepper Optional, use gochugaru for more spice
For the Eggs
  • 4 large Fresh Eggs Use freshest eggs
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds For sprinkling on top

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a medium pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Gently add fresh eggs and cook for 6–7 minutes for soft-boiled yolks.
  2. Transfer eggs to a bowl filled with ice water and let them sit for about 5 minutes to cool.
  3. Carefully tap eggs to crack the shells and peel them under running water.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, sliced green onions, and chopped chili pepper if desired.
  5. Place peeled eggs in a clean jar, pour the marinade over the eggs, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  6. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Remove eggs from the marinade, slice in half, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve.
