  • 1 teaspoon Salt
For the Whiskey Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Whiskey Can be omitted for a non-alcoholic version.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, heavy cream, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, whiskey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
  3. Cut stale brioche or French bread into 1-inch cubes and place in the prepared baking dish. Pour custard mixture over bread and let soak for 10 minutes.
  4. Bake for 50 minutes until golden brown, with edges set and center slightly soft. A toothpick inserted should come out clean but with some softness.
  5. Allow the pudding to cool for about 15 minutes before serving warm, drizzled with whiskey caramel sauce.
