- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, heavy cream, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, whiskey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Cut stale brioche or French bread into 1-inch cubes and place in the prepared baking dish. Pour custard mixture over bread and let soak for 10 minutes.
- Bake for 50 minutes until golden brown, with edges set and center slightly soft. A toothpick inserted should come out clean but with some softness.
