Ingredients

For the Cookie Base
  • 1 box Strawberry Cake Mix Feel free to swap with lemon or funfetti.
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil Substitute with butter for firmer texture.
  • 2 large Eggs Add structure and moisture.
For the Sweet Center
  • 24 pieces Hershey’s Kisses Feel free to try white chocolate or caramel-filled.
For Rolling the Cookies
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Optional for a softer texture.

Equipment

  • medium mixing bowl
  • spatula or wooden spoon
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, vegetable oil, and large eggs. Stir vigorously until a thick dough forms, about 2-3 minutes. Let it rest while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the dough and roll it into a ball. Roll the ball in granulated sugar to coat evenly. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  3. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. Watch for the edges to set and the tops to crack slightly.
  4. Press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each warm cookie. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough if too sticky. Allow dough to rest for easier rolling. Variations like lemon or funfetti are fun to try.
