Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a pizza stone in the oven to heat up.
- In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter, then whisk in 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and 1 cup of grated Romano cheese, letting it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Combine 1 cup of lukewarm water and 2 ¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Mix in 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 1 teaspoon of salt, then gradually add 2 ½ cups of flour to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough into a circle about 14-16 inches in diameter and transfer it to a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
- Spread half of your cheese sauce over the dough, layer with smoked turkey breast slices, and top with the remaining cheese sauce, crumbled bacon and Roma tomato slices.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and toppings are bubbling.
- Once baked, let cool for a minute, garnish with paprika and fresh parsley, slice into wedges, and serve hot.
