  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Use low-sodium for a healthier option
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Can substitute with olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh minced for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Honey/Sugar Maple syrup can be used as a substitute
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Use both white and green parts
For the Wraps
  • 1 head Lettuce (Butter or Romaine) Ensure freshness to avoid tearing
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds Optional, for extra crunch
  • Chopped Peanuts/Fried Onions Optional toppings for added flavor

Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, honey, and the white parts of green onions. Stir well until fully mixed and glossy.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Pour the reserved marinade over the cooked beef and stir to coat thoroughly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the green parts of the sliced green onions and cook for another minute.
  5. Gently separate lettuce leaves, wash, and dry them. These will be your wraps.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf and garnish with sesame seeds and optional toppings before serving.
