  • 1 head Sweetheart Cabbage (Hispi) Can substitute with green cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons Butter Use vegan butter for a plant-based version
  • 2 tablespoons Miso Paste Red or brown miso recommended
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Regular breadcrumbs can be used if panko is unavailable
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can enhance flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Parsley Optional garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Cut the sweetheart cabbage into quarters, leaving the core intact. Place on a baking sheet.
  3. Mix 2 tablespoons of softened butter with the miso paste until smooth. Brush over the cabbage wedges.
  4. Roast the cabbage for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in a pan, add panko and garlic powder, stirring until golden brown.
  6. Once the cabbage is roasted, sprinkle the toasted breadcrumb mixture on top and serve warm.
