- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice a small head of cabbage into thick ½ inch slices and brush both sides generously with olive oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and add the egg if using.
- Form the meat mixture into patties and place them on cabbage slices.
- Bake the burgers in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until fully cooked.
- If desired, sprinkle cheese on top and broil for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until melted.
