Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
Grill or cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
During the last minute of cooking, spoon pizza sauce over each patty and top with shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. Cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
