Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Cut out star shapes using a star-shaped cutter, aiming for uniform sizes.
  3. Combine cream cheese and shredded cheese in a bowl until creamy and well-blended.
  4. Spoon cheese mixture onto half of the star shapes and place another star shape on top.
  5. Press edges to seal, using a fork to crimp them for decoration. Brush with egg wash.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Watch closely while baking.
  7. Let cool for a minute and add a dollop of red hot pepper jelly before serving.
