Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers any color
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish optional

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the turkey is fully cooked and the sauce is well combined.
  3. While the turkey is cooking, steam the broccoli and bell peppers until tender, about 4-5 minutes. You can use a microwave steamer or a pot with a small amount of boiling water.
  4. In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice, followed by the teriyaki turkey mixture, steamed vegetables, and shredded carrots.
  5. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve warm.
