Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the wild rice according to package instructions, about 45 minutes, until chewy.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrots, celery, and mushrooms. Sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, wild rice, sautéed veggies, and creamy sauce. Mix well.
  5. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour in the mixture and spread evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix panko, melted butter, and Parmesan. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
