- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional for filling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin pan or use silicone molds.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the donut holes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, roll each donut hole in powdered sugar until fully coated.
Notes
- For a fun twist, add a pinch of cinnamon to the batter for a warm flavor.
- You can dip the cooled donut holes in melted chocolate instead of rolling them in powdered sugar for an extra indulgent treat.
